Anyone here play Washburn guitars? I have two of them a classical C64SCE and a dreadnought D10SCEDL.

I had one of those.
Great guitar. Light swamp ash, big neck, cool bridge. A winner. |

Got a few all USA Custom electrics. I will put the 1990's MG series USA solidly in boutique territory as direct comp to stuff like the USA Charvell, Hammers, Andersons and the like.
The new Washburn USA HM WM 526 is the best Shread guitaR on the planet at any price right now. Scary good guitar but rather pricey. http://cgi.ebay.com/Washburn-USA-HM-...item5d2814c1dc Here are some of my Washys MG's ![]() USA Chicago Custom A-30 and this thing is flat a TONE MONSTER!! ![]() ![]() 3-ST Stealth ![]() WM-4 ![]() The import stuff ain't bad but the USA's are absolute KILLERS!!

Exactly. Sometimes I think of selling it, but then I play it and forget the idea. I just seem to play other guitars more, but the Laredo always tells the truth. Maybe that's the problem: it tells me what a lousy player I am! That's a good Tele, for you.

Dagg Rutle,
You should really try a Washburn! You probally would like them. ![]() I had a Strat copy back in the mid 90's. Played as good as the 70's Fender I had played. I'm sure no fret wear also improved my tone at the time.

Good friend has a Washburn Sunburst finish strat that is H-S-S configuration. That guitar just so natural in my hands....enough so I keep looking for one like to show up on the 'bay or CL sometime at a good price. Till then, I'll keep playing my "Fenders".....

I've had a few nice Washburns over the years. When I managed a music store back in the late 70's, I got a couple of their solid wood series they intorduced to compete with the big boys. The rep had a Timber Ridge ( Rosewood ) and a Prarie Song ( Mahogany ) that were seconds and I got them real, real cheap. The Timber Ridge was the one that really spoke to me, so I sold the PS for more than enough to pay for both guitars. The TR served me well for many years. Abou the same time I bought a D-10 for a good buddy. He still has it some 30 years later and for a cheap guitar, it sounds good and plays even better.
