Cutting a CD in January

Our Praise and Worship Team, is cutting a CD in January.

We have all decided, that we are going to do the recording, as "live" as possible. Sorta the way 'SRV and Double Trouble' did most of their recordings. Its a little harder if we have to go back for overdubs (bleed-over), but all of us appreaciate the live feel/vibe, that it produces on CD.

We are gonna use "Studio On Wheels":

John is a member of our Church, and a good brother, and he has worked for a lot of really big acts, and done a lot of good recordings too! Plus, he is a great engineer!

So hopefully, we'll have a nice quality CD ready in Jan/Feb. time frame!

Yep! Were gonna cover the P&W that we always do, which also includes a couple originals by some of our P&W team members. I do have a couple of songs in the works, but I dont think they will be done in time to record.

And When I'm done, I will get a copy to anyone of the members here. All ya gotta do is ask!

Hey Steve, Are you going to record the PW with the body, or will it be just the worship team? I think it would be awesome if you did with the body so you could get that live feel and the singing of the body in the background, I love the sound of the body singing worship...It's about time you guys did a CD!!!

I dont know how Chris wants to do it exactly, I'm just elated that were doin it!

And for all of my family here that dont know it, Aaron is my brother in the Missionarry feild, over in Cebu, Phillipines! He his wife Michele, and son Cameron, are spreading the gospel of Christ, in all that they do their! I used to stand next to this brother of mine in the Praise and Worship Team, and he has meant so much to me, from the first day that I and my family walked through the doors at First Love Calvary Chapel. I am so joyful, that he is here with us in this little cyber-ministry, and to celebrate, I'm gonna create something very special (ya all will have to wait for a few minutes, till I get it up and running!

I am so Happy, elateded, and Joyful right now! Yeehaw!

OK, from all indications, its going to be a live recording, with a full house in the congregation. I like that idea, because like Aaron said, their is something about getting that live energy during Praise and Worship!

A couple songs are going to be a challenge for me: there new too me, and very jazzy, so I have to lessen my sloppy playing for them!

It will be taking place in January, and when its all done, I'll let you all know! We could use your prayers!

Stephen I will be praying for a breakthrough night of worship!!The team I am working with is talking about doing the same type thing the old sound engineer for the White Metal Band I played for has a mobile studio set up. If we can get it to come together soon enough maybe we can swap CD`s.

Hey bro, good to hear from you!

I'm usually kept in the dark about the particulars: they usually tell me a couple of days before hand. All I know is, that Jim Munoz has scheduled thew time with John's recording truck, for January.

Its just my opinion, but we should get down (practice) at least 15-20 songs really well, play em all, and pick the ones that seem right. One reason is, its kinda hard to go in and fix a live recording, and were only gonna have the truck for that one time, so we should be prepared.

But as soon as I know what the dates are, I will lwet you know!

That is awesome! I will pray that everything goes great. It is important that you practice though, I agree that you should have picked songs and then practiced them for at least a few months before hand. Because once the recording starts the nerves do too!!! It's not easy recording, especially with good equipment, cause you can hear every wrong note and chord...But live, it is easier to cover up more mistakes then in a studio. God bless you bro...Tell Chris and the team I said hello...We are planning to go back into the studio and work on our second CD pretty soon...I have a lot of new songs that I have written...I will send you guys a copy when we are finished...God bless you bro

I wrote a song ot, well, the music: Maureen is listening to it, and is working on the lyrics (sis does write some good lyrics, thanks to the Holy Spirit!). maybe if she finishes soon, we can work it in, but the time is short, so we'll have to see.

Talk with you soon bro! Give Michelle, and Cameron all my love! Tell your flock, we are always praying for them, and you, and we rejoice at the Mighty Works that Jesus is accomplishing with them, and you!
