New guitar on the way! Due to some major life changes, I have sold most of my guitars. In the past few years, over 22 guitars (pluse various amps, effects, etc) have gone on to new homes.

I'll keep my lovely old Larrivee L09 and my trusty homebrew tele, but all other acosutics and electrics have left the fold.

The Larrivee stays in it's case most of the time as it's so pristine for it's age, I don't want the grandkids accidently knocking it off the stand...since I've always had a guitar on a stand in the house I could just grab, I've been missing that greatly.

So, my love for 000 and parlor size acoustics led me on a search. I just missed on a few AMI's and a Seagull Grand....and still may do some horse trading for a nylon string AMI....but, I really want a steel string.

I heard good things about the Recording King ROS-06 so I started looking at them. They are fairly cheap, but still out of my present budget. Then, I happend to stumble upon one. Brand new, and shipped for $130.00! It's scheduled to arrive on the 27th, so I'm pretty excited!

Has anyone spent time with one of these little beauts? From all accounts (reviews and youtube vids) I've yet to hear a negative word...just praise for the construction, tone and playability that far surpasses the dollar amount.

I'll post pics and a review once I spend a little time with it.

I haven't seen or heard one, but there was a review very recently in one of the mags (can't remember if it was guitar player or world) and they had a lot of good to say, especially in light of the price. I'll be curious to hear your opinion when it arrives.

the Recording King arrived safe and sound. Due to moving, I have had precious little time with it, but what I've seen so far is good! I'm impressed with the build quality.....very, very nice!

I don't have pics yet as the camera is hiding, but it looks like this one here...pretty basic. http://www.recordingking.com/guitars_ros06.html

WIDE neck baby! Some may not like it, but it works for me. I dig the 12 fret, slot head look and the tone is very nice with that bridge placement. Very even tonal response, yet is has a real sweet top end and a nice amount of bass. The OOO body size is a fav of mine and it will be great for the new smaller digs.

The action is a bit high for my taste, but I'll address that when things settle down a bit. Still, it plays very good as is. The only thing I may (and U say may!) address is the tuners. While adequate, it's an area that could be greatly improved.

Anyway, I am THRILLED at the amount of guitar I got for $130.
