Stopped by the local pawn shop the other day and spotted a nice looking cutaway acoustic. Upon closed inspection, it turned out to be a Washburn D-10SCE....Washburn D-10 with solid top, cutaway and electronics.
It was quite dirty with old strings, but it played fairly good, so I offered them $100 out the door with case (they had it marked at $150) and they took it. Got it home and gave it a good cleaning. Wow....it was FILTHY! Adjusted the truss rod, slapped on some new strings and I'm quite impressed with it.
Plays and stays in tune very well. The acoustic tone is not quite as deep and detailed as my trusty old, beat Seagull, (and not close to the same league as my Larrivee) but it sounds pretty darn decent acousticly and very, very nice plugged in.
All in all, I'm quite happy with my new purchase and look forward to using it for worship this Sunday!
