Stephen,
I hope this is the right place to put this as it's "about" pastors.
I just heard an announcement on the local Cavary Chapel radio station. They said that Calvary Chapel Coasta Mesa is offering a Pastor's Training class in July. It's for any layman interested in going into the ministry.
Can you tell me about it? Details, info, links and the like would be appreciated. Tell me all you know!
Thanks!
Gary

Class - 610 Pastoral Ministry.
This course is designed to give an overview of various aspects of pastoral ministry. Subjects will include: Servant hood, church practice, biblical counseling, study preparation, sermon presentation, evangelism, outreach, missions, children’s ministry, Jr.-Sr. high ministry.
I believe that Murrietta does regular Pastor Training classes as well.

OA covered all the bases, and rather well too.
All that I know? What, you got 3 minutes of your day too waste?

OA is a Calvary Chapel Youth Pastor!
;)
What I am having a hard time finding is more copies of the CCCM presents Old & New Testament NKJV with the 100+ MP3 sermons and notes! Its that 7 CD set that I got a few copies of for free at the last Pastors Conference, but finding it hard to acquire bulk quantities.

Thanks, OA!
Alas, it's far away from here. If it's God's will, it will come about.

Well, there are various subsidiary CC schools about, may want to check the listings the Calvary Chapel home page has. Most of them are in Cali.

I've got project number 33 for you...
Do some snooping for me about CC's "distance-learning" version of their Bible college, would you, please? I'm in a Bible college now, but I don't know if I can continue there long-term due to differences in doctrinal views. Many folks previous to me have tried to change the school's teaching on some subjects, or at least be receptive to a different views. The assistant dean of the college refers to those folks as "knuckleheads." I've been called one before so I guess that shouldn't bother me.
Since I already have a university degree, the college I'm going to now is letting me go after a Master's with far less required class hours. I don't know if CC will give me credit for my previous degree and previous class hours earned at the Bible college. Maybe you can stear me to somebody who's gone to their school or had a background similar to myself.
There are two local CC's. One is listed as a remote learning location, but I got the impression that at certain times they might show video tapes of teaching, and not necessarily have classes with "live" real-time teaching. I'm just speculating.

I will look into that for you. I stopped looking into this recently due to a local pastor here in Colorado that is starting a subsidiary CCBC at his new church location. I think he will be doing allot more than just showing videos, and as a few of the semi-regular teachers of CCBC in California reside here, like Gino Geraci, this will sure be a fun school. I understand that it is still about a year out here, and allot can happen between now and then, but I look forward to it anyway.
