Boss GE-7 Sniper Mod

I have been debating trying this mod (or something similar). Any thoughts? Has anyone tried this?

I've got one on my board. Sounds less "noisy" and more "transparent". I use it very regularly for acoustic, bass, electric... really about anything and really like it. I also like how they shifted the lowest band down a bit...

I bought it modded so I don't know how hard it was to do. I'd guess that upgrading the op amps might be the important part???

Can't be worse than the unmodified pedal. Had more hiss than a basket of snakes.

took a quick look on the net, lotsa good things said about the sniper mod.

Mine is VERY VERY VERY quiet... I've never had an unmodded one, so I can't offer a direct comparison... I certainly wouldn't worry about noise being an issue with the sniper mod.

I had one for awhile (unmodified) and as long as you weren't playing with the overall level too much it was quiet, but the second you nudged it off of 0 it got really noisy.

Alright well I will probably try to mod it or send it in I love the sound but the noise makes it unusable (to me).
