I know some have@looked at me a bit odd when I have said the anti-christ will most likely be the President of the United States (not necesarily the current POTUS).

One interesting bit of trivia I have learned is this: The name of the limo that the POTUS rides in is called The Beast.

Yeah, its not "See! Proof positive", revelation, but an interesting bit of coincidental trivia.

Since it is resurrected, and since our pastor recently reminded me of this, our official belief is that the papacy (office of the pope, not any particular pope) is the antichrist.

Flat out, the catholic church/pope do figure into end time prophecy: they will be the universal church/false prophet of the beast (antichrist), the harlot riding on the back of the beast, guzzling from the cup of abomination/atrocities/sin.

The antichrist MUST be from babylonian descent as foretold by Daniel. BUT, I belive, based on the fact that lucy-fer is nothing but a copy-cat, the antichrist will not dwell in that region, but have heritage tracing back too it. That way he can point to biblical prophecy that foretold of Messiah's leaving Israel.

I still do contend that right now, and for the foreseeable future, the most comprehensive seat of power in world governments is the USA. This would be the perfect throne for the antichrist to rule from. And as in Daniel, he is refered to as the King of the north, the continental United States is north of Israel.

Yeah, it could all be coincidental, but it could also be signs along the side of this ever shortening road to the end times as well......

I do believe the ac will be within the EU or directly connected with it. That said, there is thought that it will be an Islamist. I haven't studied that enough to give it credibility, though their intolerance (by the militants) certainly looks convincing. The USA is not only "north" of Israel, but way WAY west, so IMHO (and just my opinion) the USA is quite a stretch.

Time will tell.

Remember that when we see the Fig Tree turn green we know that summer is coming. Watch and pray and be ready for the Master returns at a time when no one knows and if the servant is drunken and cavorting when He gets here he will be punished.

Most of Israel was not prepared for the 1st coming of Christ. I hope a greater percentage of the Church is ready for His Second. Keep watching and comparing the state of the world with what the word of God declares and hopefully we won't be fooled!
