A-3 a little "dark" I take it with that wind?
I tend to like A2, rough cast A5 and 8 in the bridge myself with A2 and 4 in the neck.
John Baxter here locally is right now winding me a 13K 43 gauge with a rough cast A5.

Funny,David wound this for the bridge position, but I put it in the neck of a '50s style tele, and it ain't comin' out! I thought it would be too dark, but it works great with the Paul Bunyan bridge pickup.
