Looking For A Publisher

Does anyone have or know of a good song publisher? I'm looking for someone who will go to bat for your tunes if they like them,and not sit on them.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I feel it's time to fulfill this in my life.Thanks!

Not so much a publisher, but Taxi, the independent A&R company was really highly touted by one of my guitar instructors. Actually the best instructor I have had. He seemed to think they did the best at representing the artist, whether for the purposes of performing or publishing.

Let me know how it turns out. My instructor greatly encouraged every student to write songs, and he really wanted them all submitted. Thought that their critique service was really good. I never got around to writing a song, even though he was a bit peeved at me because of it. OTOH, when I called him recently to steer anoer student his way, he asked when I was going to be working on his side of town again, that He would be happy to take me back as a student (I stopped going to him because he is quite a distance from my house; I used to go over lunch once a week for an hour when I worked close to his studio). Could be that he liked me, or could be that he needs students again, LOL.

Anyway, his endorsement of Taxi was genuine. Good luck.

I'd still recommend Taxi, too, refin. I personally had to drop them a couple years back because I dried up and wasn't coming up with any material worth submitting anymore. They had even begun calling me at home asking if I was planning on attending their annual convention, but I couldn't justify keeping my membership active.

If you're serious about pursuing a real break in the industry, they are certainly worth looking into. :up:
