Is anybody using Behringer stuff?

I have a v-amp2 and FCB1010 midi foot controller. I'm actually only a "substitute" guitarist (I'm neck deep in other ministries, so my time is limited) so I've had limited chances to tweak it.

No guitar gear but a bit of their stuff in the sound booth (compressors, EQ and a couple DEQ2496s). Decent quality/performance at a price that's hard to beat.

We have an EQ and a Feedback Supressor at our church. The rack stuff is OK. But we tracked down a noise source to the Feedback Supressor.

I know a bass player that had a small bass amp that blew and a keyboardist that her amp blew. The bass player never got around to fixing his. The keyboardist got hers fixed under warranty and has been working fine for 2-1/2 years.

They give the impression that they are a German company. But all their stuff is made in China for export. The reliability would be my main concern.

Other than these issues, I think they have unbelievable prices and great utility. However, they are forcing all the other manufactures to come out with budget equipment to be able to compete. This has the effect of excellerating "off-shore" manufacturing - which is inevitable any way.

I use the midi controller with a J-Station on gigs where I don't have a backline.I also have the Eurorack MX-602 mini mixer for the mic pres and phantom power. So far,no problems at all, although I only take out the FCB-1010 controller.

I have the V-amp 2 and like it a lot. Also: two AC-108 Vintager amps. Very cool little Champ-like but louder 15 watt combo amps.
I also had an AC-112. Liked it but the little AC-108's are way fun and simple.
Never had any trouble with any of it.
Seems very well designed and built. The amps have metal input jacks (wake up Fender)!

KX1200 keyboard amp - running my modeler(s) through it - couldn't be happier.

I have the Bass V-AMP Pro.. 2U rack box. It is great for recording bass.

It also has some guitar models in it too, which are excellent for late-nite practice with headphones.

The third thing I use it for is composition.. I can put decent sounding ideas on tape really quickly, so I can work out arrangements and stuff.

I'm using a couple of their direct boxes. Excellent products, especially for $29.95 and $34.95 respectively. A friend was using a passive Horizon direct box for his electric/acoustic. He couldn't believe how much tone he was losing through the Horizon unitl he tried my Behringer active DI.

OOO!
I need to try one of those!

I loved my Tech 21 Acoustic D.I., but they are MONDO expensive!

I have a Vamp-2 and have yet to use it at church. Too noisy. Want to make it work but as of yet it's got way too much hiss and that's with only the amp models, no effects added.

I have lots of Behringer garbage, both for guitar recording at home and studio gear at home. The photos abover are my home recording rig for electric, and my home recording mixers. I tend to use the MX3282-A way more than the Mackie, and rather prefer the Behringer board over the Mackie board for sound quality anyway.

The V-Amp Pro is a wonderfull tool when compared in price to the almost identical Line-6 Pod Pro. I have countless other Behringer tools, like the Mic-100 Tube pre units that I use everywhere, the Autocom compressors may as well be as common as Alesis 3630s in my racks, and the Virtualizer is the heart of any recorded effect that I use. I have never seen the distinct advantage a Lexicon or the like has over the Virtualizer Pro. I'm a trailer trash Behringer lover till death, or untill I hit the Lotto, which ever comes first!

Funny you should mention that. Some moths ago we did a "blind test" with mixers on identical rigs at the same venue. We used HK, EV and JBL rigs with a mackie, the Behringer 3282, and a Yamaha mixer. The other mixers were both sky high above the behringer in price. The 3282 came out as the most transparent mixer of them all.

Behringer is cheap stuff, but by no means bad quality. I dunno about how it is in the US, but in Europe the POD XT pro is more than 4 times as expensive than the Vamp pro, and the sound quality sure aint worth that much. So yeah I'll stick to tweaking my behringer stuff and get it to sound as good as it possibly can \:D/

But beware.. I had a Behringer EQ pedal die on me.

Not a very pleasant thing to happen.. Sometimes you cant really avoid it.

I've used my V-Amp Pro and FCB1010 at church now for two years with no problems at all. It sounds good through the PA system and with the midi controller it's extremely flexible to use.

For our part of the world here (Malaysia and Asians), Behringer things are made in China.
I'm not sure how about you guys there? Made in Germany?

The made in China ones are really bad and not lasting.
Not durable for heavy usage like church use, but may be ok for personal usage .......
