The first one back in January was a lot of fun and a trial run. There was about 25 jammers that showed up (including drummers, singers, bass and keyboardist) and everyone got to play plenty. There were several TDPRI forum players that showed up. We struck up some new friendships too. I met Wishus there.
Virtually every person asked me to have another one. So, here it is. I didn't want to have them once a year, and I didn't want to have them too often. So, 3~4 times a year might be just right.
We have a complete house system and stage with lighting. It is open to all styles and genre - CW Twang, Blues, P&W, CCM, Folk, Metal, etc. It is a fairly loose forum. But if there are a bunch of folks, then I will initiate a 3 song rotation. There are also additional rooms for smaller circle jams.
It is all free. Last time we collected a voluntary donation to help with some expenses.
I have been working vigoruosly with a local and well known musician as an anchor band and a quasi workshop. But I have not gotten their commitment. So, we will see how that turns out.
Be sure to bring your guitar, songlist and be prepared for a great time. There should be plenty of amps to play through, but more Fender amps are certainly welcome.
No reservations required, but drop me a note on this thread so I can get a sense of who is coming.
