Thought you guys might want to know about a blessing I received on Tuesday. I was driving in to work in the morning and just as I pulled into the parking structure, I felt that dreaded thumpety-thump from the rear of the car. I immediately pulled over and, sure enough, my right rear tire was flat. So I found a level, well-lit spot, put on the donut spare, re-parked and went into the office. So at lunch, I took the car over to America's Tire. It's their policy to repair fixable flats for free, whether you bought the tire from them or not. Wonderful policy and I've taken advantage of it before. Well being that it was a screw right into the tread and that I didn't drive on it, once I knew about it, I figured it should be repairable. Wrong. Once they pulled the tire and removed it from the rim, you could see a big pile of shredded rubber inside and their guy told me they couldn't fix it. Ok, so we go back inside and he shows me the tires they have in my size. Nothing under $120. All I had in my checking account was $81 and I didn't have any room on my credit cards either. Times have been a bit tough lately with the wife out of work. I asked if maybe they had a "blem" or even a used tire. He said they didn't sell anything like that. When I told him that all I had was $80 and he'd better put the donut back on, he said, "Let me see what I can do for you". So I called my wife and then walked back out to the car. Lo and behold, he'd mounted a tire on my rim and was tightening the lug nuts. He said "It's a slightly different size, but it shouldn't make much difference". I asked "How much?" and he replied "Don't worry about it". Can you believe it? THEY GAVE ME A BRAND-NEW $279 MICHELIN TIRE!!! I thanked him profusely and drove off, praising God in the heavens! :yeah::yeah::yeah:

Wow. Praise Jesus on making him so understanding.

I'm guessing that if nothing else, the guy who helped you just built some brand loyalty there, as well.

There are still lots of good hearted business folks amongst us. We just don't get to hear about them. Usually because they are very humble. Thanks for sharing about this one..........
