Check this article out... Sounds like Z.Vex is going to be releasing his designs as "people are hacking them anyway"... He has a new project box concept that should be pretty interesting... See the article here (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/01/namm-a-mad-professor-of-the-stompbox-goes-open-source/).

You could always reverse engineer his designs, if you were so inclined. Unlike some others, where they would epoxy pot the entire circuit.

People have been cloning Zvex stuff for years. Most of what Zvex makes are clones of something else. Vicious circle

I know the SHO is merely an old sound board gain section in a box, but I thought the Fuzz Factory and a bunch of the moculation stuff was original. As well as the expression pedal stuff. Also, he used to be really proud of the fact that many or most of his designs used way less power that others. Maybe cloned is not quite right, adapted maybe?
Guess what I am saying is that I don't see in most of his designs the usual cloned things.
For the record, I have from him a Fuzz Factory (cool, but rarely used because if find it hard to get the exact setting I want) a SHO (used to use with my acoustic a lot for a 3-6dB boost for going from light chord work to solo or finger style). I also have one of his little tube guitar amps. That is a lot of fun, a true bedroom amp. Never had a chance to try one of his wah pedals, but they seem interesting.
