Well, I’m back from the weekend retreat and it sure was good. It was a great time of fellowship, ministry and making new friends.

Up in the California mountains is a place called The Oaks. Here are most of the guys in front of the meeting hall.

Here is a shot of yours truly honing his moderator skills.(!) Actually, I think I may take up archery as a hobby. I ended up doing so well that they put me in a shoot out with the best archers.

Prayer was an important aspect of the weekend and here we are praying for a brother in need.

L-R Jim, Joseph and Jounard. The men broke into small groups and these men & I were in one. Jounard is our small group leader. Jim was a soldier in Kosovo. One day, a couple of civilians came up to him for help. They showed him their baby who had a cleft pallet and Jim took compassion on the child & family. (Jim was an atheist.) Jim said, “God if you are real, help me get help for this child. In exchange, I will do whatever you ask.†The child got the needed trip to Italy for surgery and Saturday night, Jim prayed to receive Christ as Lord. Hallelujah!
