Okay,I was 14 years old....the first King Crimson album had been out for about a year, and we were still stoked by the fresh sonic assault of this disc.
Soooooo..................
We did a version of "In The Court Of The Crimson King" (our oldest member was 16). We didn't know then how bad we butchered it,we were having fun.I'm sure it was interesting at the local USO club and Airmen's Club that we played at. :ROFL :ROFL

Before I knew better:
Well from '86 to '91 I was the lead singer in a metal band (ya, big hair and spandex!)... our repretoire was all heavy...
Boldest song?
Probably Metallica's "Fade To Black", some Iron Maiden, Queensryche, AC/DC and then all the glam-band stuff... oi vey. Too many naughty tunes to note.

All those lovely bits, tasty harmonics, and subtleties... crushed in the hands of a 15-year old.

It's funny how your desire to play a certain song supercedes your ability to do it justice....we did not know our limitations, just our desires.
Hey.....that's a quotable quote if I've ever heard one! :angel

It was my old Praise team and the song was Mourning to Dancing by Ron Kenoly. We actually did it quite well a few times but it was NO fun and we eventually abandoned it!!! The sheet music looked like you stirred up an ant bed and then scrunched the score in the ants notes EVERYWHERE LOL.Every sylable for me a different CHORD it was just so complicated that it lost any heart for us and was just not condusive to worship in our setting GREAT tune but :shock the first time I saw the music score.

I bet that is exactly what the Apostles will tell us when we get to talk with them.
