Good quality streaming video of Anaheim concert, interview, signature amp overview, and a few other things...
Joe Satriani is one skillful player... very inspirational to me! ;)

Even if you don't like his style, you can learn an immense amount from his material.
Enjoy.

I was at the Anahiem concert. Satch is a great player. I'm not a great fan but I appreciate his talent. It was a really good show.

I have Joe's "bluesy" Satriani CD I love it. Not much of a Satch fan, but I love this disc. 'Specially on road trips.
Ya wanna see somethin real, curious, uhh... funny? Under the soundcheck section, look at the photo of the back of Joe's new JSX amps onstage .... then the front, then the back again...notice anything curious? Cap'n?

Holy smokes, Batman... They lights are on... but there ain't no cables running out of the heads to ANYTHING! :shock
Of course that could be when they were setting up before they hooked 'em up.
Do I win a prize? Maybe a new Les Paul Supreme?!? :innocent

Bingo.
He's got cables run to the front inputs (both heads), some 'mystery' speaker cables bundled with red ties going to the cabs coming from WAY behind the rig coming from the same direction as those input cables ... and NOTHING is coming out of the back of the heads whatsoever except A/C cables (no speaker out cables, no FX loop line cables, etc...nothing); and as you can see in that SAME rear photo, the tubes are obviously 'on'- glowing.

He may have a couple of rack mounted heads stashed in the back. I recall seeing some pics in the British mag Guitarist that he is using the prototype head. He may have it carefully rack mounted. And besides, how many guitar players actually use the wall of stacks anymore. It's all about image. :ninja2

Yes that may in fact be true. "Perception is 95% of reality", right?

Maybe the cables are running out from a pair of Marshalls behind the stage.
