Well, temporarily anyway. I've been messing with my Digitech GSP1101 not as an amp modeler but as an FX processor. I really like the delays better than any of my pedals (Boss DD7, MXR Carbon Copy, Digitech Digidelay, or Ibanez AD9) It will be running it in the FX loop of my V32 combo and will be controlled with the Control 2. The only pedal I plan on using is a passive Boss volume. I don't like the volume control on the Control 2/ GSP 1101.
I used to use rack gear quite a bit in the past and am starting to lean back in that direction. The next step if I like this set up live, is my Mesa Boogie recording preamp, Carvin T100 tube power amp, with the GSP 1101 and an Alesis Quadraverb in the loop through either 2-1x12 cabs or a stereo 2x12. That would be less portable (heavy) but the tone should be awesome.

Funny,I'm going in the other direction. :dunno:
I find my stompboxes to be more organic and immediate, even though it takes more of them.Lately (live) I've only been using an old BE-5,which has a chorus, delay, ovedrive, and compressor. But for recording I sometimes pull out all the stops.

Full circle buddy. I have been doing the stompbox thing for about the last 6 years. I just tried the processor in the loop and really liked the more polished sound. I'll go back to stompboxes sometime.

If you go to http://www.mustbebeta.com you can download a new version (beta) that allows you to tweak the slope of the volume pedal. I agree on the delays; they're very nice. The reverbs are okay.

Micter - was this secretly inspired by your passionate bromance with Lincoln Brewster and his new AXE FX?
As you all already know, I dumped my GT-8 a while back and have felt completely LIBERATED tone wise in the past year or so... I'm down to deciding whether or not to MOD my TS9DX... That's about it...
That being said, I have kind of been tempted by the RP1000 and maybe a VOX tonelab... However, I can also say that in demoing both of those units, I was pretty disappointed by the results... I'm now considering a Tech 21 Tri AC or something else, but... For recording I do have a Roland Cube 60 which is OK and then am still experimenting with the attenuator/hughes&Kettner Redbox classic options...
We'll see... Funny how it is so hard to "arrive" at tonal nirvana isn't it?

I'm running version C48 and have been for many months. I still don't like the volume on the unit. It's no big deal to use another volume pedal.

It was a thing of being bored and had nothing to do with Brewster's Axe FX. ;)

Well, I finally got everything together and ran the GSP1101 with my Crate V32 last night. After service all the guitar players came up and asked what was different about my rig. Every comment was positive with no exceptions. My tone was as good as it has ever been. I'm really liking this setup. Anyone wanna buy about a hunnerd stompboxes? rofl
