Just got the new Muse's Friend catalog yesterday. They have a new Tele on the cover. From the description, it looks like they reworked the Esquier Scorpion and Celtic models. They added another pickup, switch, tone control and dot inlays. Anyone see or play one yet?

I have the Scorpion and it feels and plays like a dream.

This looks interesting.
It appears to be yet another HH configuration Cor-Tek ("Cort") Korean Fender. Cor-Tek has been making guitars for FMIC for some years now, including the late DeArmonds, which were often superb axes. The build quality, particularly the fingerboard and fret detailing, are far superior to MIA and MIM Fenders.
These are, generally speaking, excellent instruments. I have numerous examples of them, including the Showmaster HH Custom Scorpion which is my #1 axe at the moment. I got it for $299.99 when they were blown out.
The one drawback with Cor-Tek built Fenders is that the pots, switches and wiring are typically substandard. The pickups are almost always US Duncan, DiMarzio or Fender Corona, but the other electrical parts are Cor-Tek and not of the highest quality. The 5-way switches are usually noisy as are the centered fader pots, when used. This is not a big deal though.
