Some of you guys may know all about these. I just found them a couple of weeks ago. There are now three of them, I have the first two.
Each book has 40 P&W songs, with sheet music (no good to me) Chords \:D/ , and even a version using a "cut" capo. I bought a cut or partial capo, after getting the books. I plan to pick #3 up shortly. Best part, there is a CD with a sample acoustic version of each song on it. I previewed it with our P&W team last week. We will start work on adding some new songs to our play list very soon. We are very excited with the prospect of having 120 songs to choose from.
The link is to a place you can buy online, they have alot of other stuff too. I bought my books at a local "Family Christian" book store.

I thought you were gonna be talking about theory and technique books... hehehe.

Along those lines, let me offer a recommendation for the exhaustive (and sometimes exhausting) series "The Guitar Grimoire". There are several books covering all the important topics; and they have a dizzying amount of content to get you going.

Now, be advised that there is a DVD series (one per book) that does help immensely with putting all of the stuff together. However, the presentation is aimed at young rockers and shred-heads... and the teacher is decked out in druidic/mystical (pseudo evil) dress.

I cannot recommend the DVDs for presentation and the overarching "feel" they went for (they didn't have to - most of the content isn't specifically for heavy rock or anything specific - it's just theory). I can recommend it if you can get past the presentation because it clarifies a lot of what you will see in the actual books and helps with questions.

If you just got the books, then you should be good to go - but you will have some questions here and there.
