Just wondering if anyone owns or has played one... and would be willing to give us a review. GAS strikes again :banghead

Fantastic value. If you want a good quality guitar and desire the psuedo P-90 sound, then this is a great guitar. Nice PRS feel to the neck and clean clear voice. I am not that familiar with the P-90 sound, but when I played the Soapbar I (single-cut), I heard things that I recognized from older popluar songs that I have never even considered playing on other guitars.
Fortunately, they are more affordable than the main PRS lines. Paul told me that he does not use Samick to build these guitars. They were not meeting the specs that he demanded (see any sales fluff there?). So, he chose a smaller lesser known Korean manufacturer, and was extremely happy with their results. He said that they exceded their original specs and continue to deliver high quality products.
YMMV.

I really don't know much about P-90's. I currently have a Std. Strat, Std. Tele and Nashville Tele, all stock. I play clean, chord strummin' or fingerpicked chord stuff about 99.9% of the time. I've been thinking I wanted a "better" Strat, then I saw the PRS...
These are selling for $499 online, but unfortunately that is only about 16% off retail instead of the usual 25-30%.
I had GAS when the single cut PRS Soapbar came out too, but the lawsuit cured it when they were taken off the market.

Do you know who it was? Was it Cor-tek?

He might have said, but I have a terrible memory at times. I could not tell you who it was at this point. But I got the impression that he did not disclose nor wanted to disclose - maybe that's why I can't remember.
