I may buy one of these soon, but not sure where it should go in the chain. If you view it as another pedal, then earlier in the chain, if you run direct to PA like I do most of the time, then perhaps last in the chain as if it was your amp.

Anyone tried or bought one of these?

My son uses his Tech 21 bass pedal as straight in. So...

On the other hand, it does appear from the web site that it can be used either way. If used in front of an amp, I personally would try it first just before the amp, as another pre-amp stage.

What I don't get with the YouTube video above is why is the guy in the video messing with a sansamp when he already has an Axe FX? Seems to me he can do everything in his signal chain inside the Axe FX.

I know. He also has an M13 from Line 6 which isn't cheap.

I'm liking the Tech21 Liverpool so far. One disadvantage is no presets so I usually set it and leave it on ( more or less a clean amp setting ). It's supposed to simulate an AC30 including cab sim.

I'm running direct to PA. I have a Boss OD3 in front of it and it seems as though the impact of the OD3 is muted, I assume by the Liverpool. Don't use the OD3 much but when I do I'd like to hear more of a change. I suppose I can crank the OD3 settings but too much on the drive and I'll probably get noise.

I may try the OD3 after the Liverpool, but since the Tech21 gear is acting essentially like an amp ( theoretically ) I thought the overdrive should come in front of it. The Liverpool by itself can do overdrive and distortion, but I prefer to set it closer to clean overall and not have to bend down to tweak it.
