This is a one piece Swamp Ash body with a one piece (skunk stripe) neck 14" fretboard radious. Fender noisless pups and planet waves tuners.

I did the finish as on all of my projects. Trans white and a polyurethane top coat. Tung oil on the neck. This is my first guitar with a single coil in the bridge position. :???: It still needs to settle in for a couple of days then I'll set it up. It actually plays pretty well right now.

Wow, thats a beauty! For someone who touts Pure Gibson, thats a purty lookin Strat!

LOL! I play Gibson V's live most of the time. I like Strats too.

Ya It's pretty bright. It'll take some getting used to.

BTW, I am almost done with my Tele. Thought you might be interested to know that.

Fender "hot" noiseless

Great choice!
I built a '57 Strat outa Fender reissue parts and installed Hot Noiseless.
I liked them a lot. Thought they sounded like Texas Specials.

I've never tried the hot noiseless....but I use the regular noiseless (vintage) and I like them.

Yeah, I did put a regular vintage noiseless in the neck finally, and I have really liked the VN Tele neck pickup a lot too, on a couple of parts-o-tele's I cobbled together.

I think Fender VN's were the first single coil soundin' humbuckers I actually liked the sound of, having not liked Seymour Duncan Classic or hot stacks much, except a recent neck one that worked pretty well.

There were several playing situations in the past where I needed the guitar to be a good boy and not hum, and the VN's were great for that.
The vintage Strat I built up with the Hot VN's and some extra sheilding was absolutely SILENT until played!
I've had EMG setups that made more noise than that! :hmmm:
