There may be an outage on the board

Our webhost has stated that they are acquiring a second server, and there may be some transfers behind the scenes. It will not affect the web address. The only inconvenience, is the forum may be down for about 15 minutes.

I dont know when this will happen. it could be today, or it could be in the next couple of days. I will get an email from the webhost when this takes place.

Nothing will change on this forum, just getting the boost of a second server to help speed things up.

I noticed that it hwent down several times yesterday morning. Perhaps this was what prompted the new server?

I think that was part of the acquiring the new server. This was a planned event, not something that forced it. The webhost has experienced enough growth that they didnt want to start exhibiting server downtime, and the forums moving at a snail pace.

I like the idea he is trying to act preventively, rather than correctively.
