The Lord has again blessed me with a new tool for His ministry.

Sunday my wife gave me the OK to buy another guitar. I needed a wide neck acoustic with a good pickup, I wanted another Seagull. I was all ready to order a folk CW model off the net, I had my eye on it for a couple of months now. Was planning to call the guy yesterday afternoon and pull the trigger. I hate the thought of buying an acoustic without playing it first, but I had given up on finding what I wanted local, at a price I would pay. At lunch I go to my favorite local guitar shop to get a "cut" capo and some strings, and I'm talking to the owner about my plan. He tells me to look on his used rack with a smile on his face. Turns out one of the guys that use to work for him at the shop has moved up to a high end Taylor, and has his Seagull S6 CW with LR Baggs pickup for sale! With the Seagull hard case $375!
The setup on this thing is out of this world, from nut to bridge it is as even as I have ever seen. It plays like butter and the tone will turn heads.
I used the Baggs pickup in the shop and it sounded great, I will try it with the Church PA tonight, but I expect great things!
I am so glad that guy wanted a Taylor! :-)
The Lord, He doth supply!

That sounds great! I'm happy for you!

I got my Les PAul from a dealer that had traded a high end Taylor for the LP. I thought the same thing - I'm glad the guy wanted a Taylor  .

Hehe you dog! Lucky, lucky, lucky dog! ;)

Grats on the find. That's how I felt about my Parker P38 find a few weeks back.

God does give us the desires of our hearts in practical things too, just like a good dad! May He be praised mightly on your new Gull, congrats!!
The store I teach at sells Taylor and Seagull---the former is definitely nice, but the latter has a wonderful tone at a fraction of the $!

I really like my Seagulls - I have an S-6+ and a Grand. I'd really like one of the S-6+ Burst GT models with the compound curve top, but I just don't play acoustic enough anymore to justify another one. Just out of curiosity, anyone know what those are going for?

Hey, that is it! I didn't realize that Elderly was selling Seagulls. Last time I looked, seemed like MusiciansBuy.com was about the only site I could find selling them, and they didn't list prices. I did notice that MusiciansFriend recently added Godin electrics, so maybe they will start selling Gulls too.

The new Gull will get it's first workout tonight.
Last night of Revival, this will be "Youth Night", we have a great speaker in. The Lord has really been using him.
Expecting alot of company tonight. The teens are really excited, and have invited alot of unchurched friends! Something big is in the air.
Our P&W Team is up tonight, first time we have done this type Service.
The Seagull did great last night at practice, I'm still getting use to the Baggs pickup system, it's hot!
Pray that God will use us tonight, and we will allow Him to.
Praise God!
