I just added the newest Boss delay to my pedal board -- purchased brand new. It's using the built in power supplies on my SKB PS-45 pedalboard. These supplies power a few other boss pedals no problem. If I change settings on the DD7, or move the cable that runs to the FS-5U tap tempo pedal, or engage the Boss OD-3 that is in front of the DD7 I get popping. Using the FS-5U seems to be quiet but tapping the stage with my foot near the FS-5U causes the same popping.

I guess the first thing is to try guitar straight to DD7 off the pedalboard into an amp. Anyone else had this with a late-model Boss delay?

Sounds like a bad patch cable

Snap Crackle Pop would actually be a really cool brand name for patch cables

Yeah, but I wouldn't buy any of them. Fiddling with the patch cables seems to be solving it. The last one that goes from the OD-3 into the DD-7 is one of those solid metal ones. Might be that the velcro holding the pedals to the board wasn't allowing a tight connection since that kind of patch "cable" has no 'give' whatsoever.
