Alternate Tunings

Hey all!

I've done some stuff with Drop D and cut capo (for drop D sound when low string is left open...). Are there any other alternate tunings that you all use with some regularity and find to be of some practical value that you'd recommend I look into?

Check out double drop D......I'm smitten with that tuning. Really a nice rut buster and it's a great deal of fun to boot. I also dig DADGAD, Open D and open G. These should be a good start anyway! Good luck to ya.
