A lady customer called me from the local Guitar Center last night. She needed an acoustic guitar setup right away because she was from out of town. I said, "Lady, it's 5:30 and I quit at 6:00. Besides, I have so much work in the shop it would take me two days to get to it."

She said, "It's for a handicapped individual. Could you make an exception?" I gave her directions and she got to my place at 6:30 & dropped off the guitar. I told her to go get dinner and call me in 30 minutes.

It was a beautiful full concert sized Gibson cutaway acoustic. It was easy to clean it up, oil the bridge and fretboard and detail it. I strung it up & plugged it into an amp in my living room and my wife ran in to hear the guitar! It was glorious! (Blew my Seagull S6 out of the water.)

She came back with a handicapped gentleman in his 40's who just started to learn guitar. He couldn't play a chord and just plucked a few notes. I told her it was good to go and that will be $35. She wrote me a check for $40 and was very grateful.

The lady thanked me for letting them come over after hours, as they left. I said, "God bless you. You're welcome."
