I'm gonna be busy starting Friday the 25th. one Service on Friday, one on Saturday, and three on Sunday. And Sunday night is going to be a Praise and Worship Service: at least an hour of P/W songs!

But its a good kinda busy! thats the kinda busy that I enjoy, and its gonna be so awesome playing that much P/W! Only thing that could make it any better, is if Jesus came right afterwards!

Wow Stephen that is a busy weekend!

We have three a.m. services but no musical this year.
Our Epic Church service which is our alternative service Sunday nights is going all out.
This service has found a real ministry among the folks at the local Nascar track. So a bunch of them are bringing their cars
to display in the parking lot along with a BBQ. We(Epic band) will play a couple sets during this time.
at 6:00 the regular service starts.
Song list for the service is unusual(especially for this old Baptist geezer)
One-Metallica
Hit Me with your best shot-Benetar
He's my Son-Mark Schultz
Boulevard of Broken Dream-Green Day
I love You this much-Jimmy Wayne
plus some other P&W tunes yet to be
decided
Should be interesting

We have a "Good news Service" Easter morning at 7:30am, then pitch-in breakfast followed by Sunday School, and Easter Sunday Service.

The adult Youth workers and myself will supply the music, lead P&W and I'll bring the message at the Good News Service. We normally call off our regular evening Service that day. There has been some talk about our "group" going to another local Church for evening Service, to lead P&W!

For our Good news Service we tell people:

You might think the "good news" is that you don't have to get up at sunrise. But when you get here, we'll tell you what the real "Good News" is all about.

Pretty creative stuff! I have to work late Good Friday so I will probably miss that service. This weekend though we have our Easter musical, 25 piece orchestra (in tuxes, can you imagine?), 50 or so in the choir, and lot of great drama to drive home the message. About Nicodemus coming to grips with his faith. Easter Sunday I was asked to "lead worship" and I am in a place of great trust that God would speak thru me, not lots of words just meaningful ones!

The church I go to is growing like crazy right now. They've been in a new building for about 10 months and already are close to capacity for 2 services on normal sundays. For Christmas we had 3 services and 2 of them ended up being standing room only. So for Easter we're doing 4 services, 1 Saturday, 3 Sunday. All the same service. So that weekend is going to be crazy busy. But i trust that Christ will be there the entire time helping us get through it to speak his message.

Our church does a passion play that has become an Easter season staple in the community. This year's production started last night and will run through this Sunday. The church is always filled to capacity (approx. 1500) for all 5 performances. The salvation message is always presented very clearly afterward and there is always a tremendous response. For Easter Sunday, I think we're doing some very celebratory choir stuff, mostly Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir style things.

I worship in a small military chapel service. We are having a sunrise service and our normal Sunday morning service. There is also a mid day service on Good Friday - this is new for us and I am not sure what it will entail. I will be playing for the two serivces on Sunday but not on Friday as far as I know.
