I have had this thing for about 9 months, and I'd give it an 80 out 100, not bad but not great. The no FX loop irritates me.
But this weekend I had the pleasure of playing a Fender P-bass, Takamine accoustic, and my Strat through it. Guess what............ Not bad at all. I was almost shocked.

I put the bass and acc. through the Tweed 4-10 amp setting, turned off the low end and the thing came allive! (manual setting) The bass would really ring out when thumped and the acc. was as crisp as a baked lays tater chip.( did have to cut out the lows on the acc. eq though). Even though I cut off the low end from the amp, it didn't take away from the resonance of the lower notes.

I was thinking of selling it, but I may geek out and wire my own FX loop. There are several diagrams on the Valvetronix website if anyone else is interested.

That is all

For those not familiar with the Vox Valvetronix 50watt, tell us a little more about it if ya dont mind (you know, tube, solid state, digital, types of on board effects, EQ, speaker, etc......)

Sorry bout that, here's what GC says,

I am really impressed how this thing has performed so far. Still want a real tube one day though. My first attempt at buying gear, didn't really know what I wanted or needed at the time, but guess that changes the more you play and find your own sound.

I have an AD60VT and it's not bad but not my favorite amp by any means.
