I may be in the wrong forum since I'm asking for input.
We're considering replacing our old Soundcraft Spirit 16 channel board with this one. Any experience or reviews you know of? I'd love to have a digital board with presets but at this price ( $1500 US ) I've heard you can't get a decent digital board.

You can get these, w/full automation NEW for $1999:
Amazon.com: Yamaha 01V96VCM Digital Mixer: Musical Instruments@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51533TCKEAL.@@AMEPARAM@@51533TCKEAL
FWIW, it is what we are using live for FOH. They are an incredible board, and an incredible value for this price point. You should be able to find a nice CLEAN used one for under 1.5K.

This is just my opinion so take it for what its worth.
We were looking hard at the Crest digital mixer board a few years ago.
But they were having major production problems and were being bought out by another corp. We went to an older Yamaha M3000 40 channel analog board.
I would take a good look at the Yamaha digital mixer.
I see more of those than anyone else ( including Mackie)
There is a great website listed below
I go there for reviews and opinions. www.Prosoundweb.com
Hope this helps.
