We need to bring this topic Popular Christian Music (http://tdpri.com/viewtopic.php?t=31588&highlight=) over here.

Stephen, would it be unethical to PM all the posters and invite them to join us over here?

I think that PM is the ethical thing to do. They have already shown an interest in P&W formatted forums.

I would be less ethical to continue to post invitations publically to Pauls forum. I only psot publically when I can have a double meaning to my subject - in a sneaky kind of way.

Stephen has been in touch with Paul about this very subject. So, I would imagine that Stephen has a better feel for what Paul thinks about our soliciting his members at his forum.

..... to let us conduct a little business at the tdpri: to kick-off the web site, to anounce it was back, to anounce it was back, to anounce we have a new site, to anounce it was back, to anounce it was back, yada-yada-yada.

But having said that, and Paul has been kind, even suggestiing some things to me via PM (yes he has visited here).

But, one thing I have found out, just from participating on forums for webmasters: It aint cool, as an administrator or a moderator, to go on someones site and start sending out PM's to campaign for your own site. That is something I have just recently discovered, and I have been guilty of doing this exact thing a couple of times in the past: not a lot, just a couple of times, but I have now stopped all together, and I wont do that any more. Also I have noticed on those discussion topics, that they recomend banning those that do such activities. So I would be saddened to be banned for my rudeness.

There is nothing wrong with having a bbc, or html tag in our signature, like I have at the tdpri (and others).

Also so you know, in all of the posts that I put up in the tdpri about the gpawf!! forum, I asked Paul for permission first, and I waited till I heard back from him. He's been great to me, and I want to be just as good to him, for all the kindness he has shown me.

So lets hold off on sending out (as they, the webhosts call it) recruitment PM's/Emails. Cause above all else, were representing Jesus, and we dont want to give anybody the ammo to say we are poor examples.

Ya know Gary, that was a great idea. Really thinkin "outside the box". But as webmaster, and moderators, we would be wrong for doing so.

I ask because I really held back on my reply. I wanted to quote scripture but have had my posts containing scripture deleted at TDPRI. So, I could not say what I wanted to say. Should I just go for it?

No use pushing the limits over there; that part of the forum is an "officially sanctioned breaking of the rules" but we still need to try to respect the forum rules. You can always post your response here (maybe w/ a condensed version there), but I realize that not everyone there will see your post here.

. . . but I realize that not everyone there will see your post here.

Unless you include a link to a lengthy post on this forum (how's that for sneaky?)

In the Sunday Morning Superstars, I dont think their would be a problem, but that was posted in another forum, and there could be some ramifications, because while there is some freedom to post "religious" topics in Sunday Morning Superstars, there is still the rule "No Releigious posts". Now Paul has never said anything to me, but I'll bet from time to time, some one emails him, or PM's him questioning all the religious stuff being posted over in SMS. But, Paul created that, just so we could discuss things there, and not be told to stop posting those knida topics.

Now having said all that, I wont tell anyone what to say, or not say in another forum. All I can do is impart wisdom, and point out my view on the matter. But, if you feel lead to make a post, you have to decide what your gonna do. I would advice lotsa prayer, seeking out God, and talking with other believers, before pulling the trigger.

But I would add this, me and my moderators, are kinda ambasadors for this forum, so we have to walk wisely in what we do.
