Howdy peeps. I just tried out a Simon & Patrick Acoustic my friend bought in a pawn shop in Austin earlier this year, it totally rocks. Anyone know of a decent store with ok prices that sells them in the US? I think they are Canadian made

I've played several Simon & Patricks in Canada, trying them out for possible purchase and didn't buy. They are overall, nice guitars, but I found good ones (just decent in my opinion) and not as good ones. Not in quality - that is strictly controlled and must pass inspection. It had to be the materials then, leading to playability and crucial tone. Very similar to Art & Lutherie, same family, same story, but Simon & Patrick were not as good perhaps? Hey, you'll always get a good Seagull - I don't know why that is. I played dozens, owned 2 and liked them all. The Normans have been great - I had 2 also. These all come from Mr. Godin of course.

Summarizing the quality for price issue, they're all good for what you pay.

Where to buy from, I don't know, maybe someone can help you, or get googling? I'll say Elderly Instruments in Michigan, then I'll search and confirm it. :)

Great selection of Art & Lutherie, fab prices, Seagulls too, no S & P. If Elderly doesn't have it, there's a reason I guess? :embarassed:
