Details to follow... but here's my brainstorm (subject to change!):

To produce a new, professional-grade guitarist/musician resource website that is 100% Christ-centered which is in some way tied to GPAWF. This would help build GPAWF and bring more substantial content to the community.

I was thinking of having:
- articles that go into areas like music/theory lessons with examples straight from CCM, complete with PDF tabs and sound clips.
- a broad range of comprehensive gear reviews
- a library of links to as many good CCM and/or P&W music resources, perhaps with site reviews
- a Christian event calendar that is driven by our community
- the site would be AD-FREE and simply have a PayPal button for free will offerings to be used to pay for the site hosting and any other admin fees. Or something along those lines.
- guest interviews with popular Christian musicians (no idea how we'd get this done).

I haven't thought it all out, but wanted to jot down the initial ideas. I'm open to all of your suggestions as well. What would be of value TO YOU as a Christian musician?

I don't want it to be fluff. I don't want it to be like the worldly guitar mag sites or fanzines. I want it to be CLEAN, TASTEFUL, CHRIST-CENTERED, and USEFUL!

It's ambitious... but I know with the right input and suggestions - and lots of God's help - I can get this rolling.

What say you gang?

I like it! And it is amazingly along th same lines of what has been floatin around inside my noodle!

Now, there is an option here for a "Ad-Free" GPAWF!!. Its a small monthly fee, but I am thinking about kicking it in, sorta my Love offering to Him.

kewl, I'm gonna email you this wehost's info, and site's to peruse their offerings. It may give you some more ideas along the lines of what your thinking.

The thing that really got me to thinking about all of this a little more seriously, was the Christian Guitar/Bass mag that Guitar Player put out, cause I was totally bummed that it was an 'annual' magazine, not even a quarterly! :? :x !

I think it is very feasable to set up a website that has articles, gear/theory/song/lessons/interviews/soundclips, and have a link to the "community" which hopefully would be this one (cause it is up and running well, with lots of good input from lots of good people here), and that contact/relations building could be a draw to the website as well!

I think this is worthy of more exploration!

Keep an eye on your emails kewl, I'll be sending you some stuff!

Sounds like a great idea, just be careful w/ the tabs... there are some legal issues involved there.

yeah all that would have to be explored.
