Well all this behind the scenes work here at the GPAWF!!! has basically shown us that there is room for improvement, and were going for it!
Here are the two BIG changes that are looming on the near horizon:
1)
While MochaHost has been a stable server provider for us, its very apparent that they are lacking in speed. This means pages are slow to open, slow to post, and if its a thread with lotsa photo's, fugitaboudit!
So, were changing to a new server host. It was a hard decision for me, because we did just re-up back in April with mochahost, and it gnaws on me that I'm wasting money.
Some of you may say, "Hey, then dont sweat it, stay with mochahost till the time is up, then switch." Yeah, thats a good plan, if we were going to stay with the phpbb format/software, which leads me to change number two.......................
2)
While the phpbb 3.0 looks promising, VBs looks much, MUCH better.
Were changing formats!
The new software will look similar, but it is drastically improved, more security, and a few extra bonuses for us here!
Now before these changes take place, I will make a big announcement, and give everyone time to see the big change. Oh, and we have our domain name, so that wont change. It will remain as www.guitaristpraiseforum.com
