After drivin a few of you up the wall with all the template changes, I'm takin a different approach too it:

I have selected about ten templates that I think may have a shot of being a good balance here.

I had certain criteria:

1) had to be user interface friendly: didnt want one that requires scrolling back and forth to read posts, and selections (buttons) in odd places

2) It had to allow the Logo to be of a decent size, and in a good location.

3) At had to be comfortable, soothing or pleasing, or easy to the eyes: lots of ugly ones out there!

Now, one thing I wont be able to do, is change the parameters of these templates: What we see, is what we get. I wont be able to tweak anything, and neither will our webhost.

So for the next few days, I will allow this one to stay up. This template is called Aeolus. I like it cause the colors are not harsh, the logo looks good, no scrolling to read, and the "profile" search" Memberlist" etc, are in a nice tool bar at the top of the page.

So lets try this one out for a little while, then we will try some more. I have selected some with different color schemes, and layouts, so I want to give them a chance, and we can then go from there. But the ultimate goal is, is to select "the" template, and that is how it will remain.

What I will do, is on the last couple of days of a templates tenure here, I will put up a poll, and I want you all to participate, and vote in it, so we can make the decision together here!

So, He-eeeere we GO!

webmaster edit: Oh yeah, I added a poll to help on the final selection of the top templates for final vote

I like the "post-it-note" effect around our avatars better than the dashed line.

/ 2 cents

Thanks for all you do, Stephen.

I'm happy with the direction and scope.
The details I leave to those much more qualified to handle them.

I can't think of anything to recommend.
Good job, Stephen!

This aeolus theme is really growing on me. I like it a lot. It's just about perfect IMHO. And it is just different enough to be "interesting to use", if that makes any sense.

Yeah, I like it alot too. But, today we try a new one. So make your notes, and keep score for when we come to decision time!

I should have the new template up in a little bit.

I'm not so sure about this one. As I type, these aging eyes are struggling to see the black print against the dark blue background.

It's changed twice on me in the last 3 minutes. I didn't get to try replying on the red one, but the text shows up nicely on this one-the black background with white lettering. I like it, I think.
