What seems like a long time ago asked about what picks you fellers like to use? I got alot good options but I think I have found one I like. While searching for a pick the other day ( I hve dozens, yuo'd think I coulld find one easily ) and the only pick I could find was a huge heavy bass pick. The sound just booms from my guitar with this pick. I alaso have no issues with holding on to this one. I have some good sized meat hooks so I appreciate the larger dimensions.

Just my 2 cents...
I enjoyed playing with thick picks because of the sound...then I started leading and playing songs differently. Trying to add mood I was playing softly at first, then louder on the first Chorus, then building with the bridges ;) then louder with the next choruse, etc. The problem was that when playing harder, I started breaking strings...One of the other worship leaders breaks strings all the time and is an ex-bass player with thick picks and practically saws the guitar in half.
So I switched to thin picks and never broke another string, but then I started breaking picks! :hmm: Soo I started using medium picks and have not broken a string or pick in over a year !
Moral of the story...it depends on your playing style.
Sounds like you are having fun at worship practice!

I usually use the good ol' Fender mediums. Thicks are OK. Thins never work for me.
I always ask friends who go traveling to stop at a music store and see if they have any custom picks, you know, the ones with their shop name or logo, and bring me back a souvenir. I've got them from CA and AZ, so now I need people to head east on vacation! lol

Good to meet you, too, Paul. I figured I've got enough junk souvenirs and T-shirts, so why not get something that'll put a smile of remembrance on my face every time I pick up a guitar?
