Well i headed the advise of a ton of guitar friends that said Elixir ligfhts are the strings you want on my axe. Well I have to say that my ears and fingers are very to hqave EXp lights back on the Breedlove. The Elixirs sounded ok but I thought they were on the muddy side. Plus I noticed right away they were very painful. I could barely get through a song without alot of pain in my finger tips. I gave them better than a month thinking I needed to get used to the feel and the sound. Well, my fingers and ears are very glad to have EXP lights back on the guitar. She plays much easier and the sound is rich and way louder than the Elixiers ever were.

I used Elixer lights on my acoustics for a couple years until Guitar center had a deal of 10 sets of EXPs and you get a free "starter" guitar. I gave away the guitar, but love the strings. I won't go back.

God Bless,
Brian

I use Elixers on my Taylor 310ce and won't use anything else on 'em.

On my Carvin C980-12 12-string, I usually go back and forth between Elixers and regular PB strings. While the Elixers give it a bright, crisp sound; the PBs sound a little warmer and darker to my ears.
