kewlpack has contributed so much, I had offered to make an "All kewlpack, all the time" forum, but he insisted on a Vox/Tone Labs forum instead. Go figure?

We decided to make it open for ALL kinds of modeling stuff. -KP

Well, this was lost when the other webhost fumbled, so here it is, all brand new!

So you Vox-heads (AND ALL THE OTHER MODELERS TOO!), have a blast here! But do try to keep the volume down to a minor cacophony! Remember, Vox is British, and very dignified!

There we go! I like that forum title a little bit better!

Enjoy!

Not mine. They're Korean! :) But still dignified. Neither has mis-behaved yet!

I wasn't "completely satisfied" with the ToneLab SE. It was GOOD. But there were a few niggles that made me a little crazy.

So I've moved on... but I will still take part in this thread where I can. I tried lots of things with the TLSE while I had it.

Keep going!

So, Kewlpack, what were the things that kept you from loving it? I'd like to know before I sink any cash into one.

Cool- Thanks. FWIW, the other guitarist in the band I'm in showed up at rehearsal last night with an Atomic Reactor amp, along with the POD 2.0 I sold him, and I was really impressed. That thing kicks out some massive low end. I'd love to hear it with the Tonelab.

LOL! Well now that it's official....

The Valvetronix series amps do a few things really well. Marshall high gain amp modeling is one of them. I have 3 Marshall tube amps and the AD60VT does a fantastic Marshall. It does a great black face Fender. Very realistic. The built in FX are darn good. The pedal models are all very close. I just wish they were footswitchable. Oh well, you can't have everything. The only thing I feel they lack are the crystal clean like a Carvin's clean channel. If it had as fantastic of a clean channel as it does the dirty stuff I would be selling off some tube amps. (Not really I don't sell anything) I do think the next generation of VAlvetronix will take care of the clean channel issue and will offer a bit more "tube" tone. This is by far the closest SS amp to a real tube tone that I've ever played. I have messed around with the TLSE and that would make a great backup rig in the event your amp malfunctioned.

I want to address the reliability issues that have been floating around. I've had my Valvetronix for over 3 years now and I have not had any issues at all. It is my main rehearsal amp and it has been used for quite a few gigs. 8)

That's what I was thinking - of course, by then the TLSE will have dropped in price and I will probably pick one of those up again. ;)

I actually miss my Digitech GNX4 and it's groovy drum machine quite a bit. :? There are just so many cool/kewl toys and not so much money! :(

I suggested to Stephen that we rename this forum to allow for all the fun Modelers, multi-effects, and toys that we all love and use. ;)

Vox ToneLab is GOOD - but we should spread the love to all the other fun stuff too. Eh?

I have a couple of the Digitech modelers. An RP50 and a Genesis 3. Is the Digitech forum limited to only the GNX series? Digitech has a ton of different modeler/multi effect units for live and studio use.

PG - go for it. I will tweak the title and text when I get a chance - so that it includes all Digitech Effects and Modelers.

If you guys want to talk about a different modeler or effect brand/product that doesn't have its own thread - by all means, create one and chat away!

I just created stickies for the most mainstream stuff. I'll change it up if necessary.

Now get out there and POST! 8)
