..... We're breaking in a new brand of instruments on the Norwegian market. We wanted to come up with something eye catching without it being sleazy. The pictures are meant to be used in a variety of marketing contexts (like posters, backgrounds, the net and so on) and are not product photos. Give me your opinion on these pics.
Post edited.
Thanx for the feedback, it's appreciated. We will put some new ones up in time.

I'd like better if the girls were smiling, but that's just me.

I was thinking that the first one in particular doesn't look too happy to be playing guitar or having her picture taken. (And just what chord is she playing? )

I have been working in design and advertising sing '89. I don't know if that means anything, but allow me to think out loud:
Of all the images, the very first one is the only one that works well. It's a bit dark and oversaturated, but I get a sense of mood. Kind of a grunge feel to it. The yellow guitar is fighting with the main subject for attention in the photo and creating an abrupt change in the flow of the image (visual direction - as you eye flows through the image, each element should lead the eye to the next in a natural way).
The second image doesn't work. Mainly because I don't know what you're getting at. The superimposition is a fine idea, but there are too many busy elements in the center. The pretty model shouldn't have strings through her face. As a viewer I don't understand what I'm supposed to take away as a message here.
Third image - I like the action captured here. The background is too much and too "photoshop swirly plugin" feeling. Perhaps a nice warm black background would compliment the model and help her "pop". I don't like the lighting that the straight on camera flash causes, but sometimes you can't bounce the flash. The background doesn't help the shot.
Fourth image - cool again. Back to the moody, grunge kind of feel. The subject is too dark and there is a silver thing just above/right of her eyes which could be cloned out. It's a distraction when anything is near the models eyes or the subject's main focal feature. Close though.
All of the images might benefit from color correction and minor touchup (all marketing shots go through it).
I like 1 and 4 as they have the greatest potential.
I hope these suggestions and opinions help - in which is the spirit I give them.
What instruments are ya selling by the way?! :D
