I play a Bogner Metropolis.
Its a great amp! The Metro is 30 watts Class A, with reverb. It is a single channel amp, but has a 5 position Schizo switch that changes the preamp voicings to come up with 5 very different tones. It IS NOT like the Matchless switch that incrementally adds mids to the tone.
Schizo 1 is used for ultra clean tones.
Schizo 2 is traditional Vox, with amazing chime and jangle.
Schizo 3 is more grindy, with tight lows and highs (great with P90's).
Schizo 4 boosts mids, and is good for gutsly "fat strat" type tones.
Schizo 5 boosts lows and mids, and is a great Plexi-Vox tone.
The tones are very big, warm and dimensional. It likes fuzz, but didn't get along with the OD9, FD2, and the Hotcake was a marginal match. That however has been remedied by the LOVEPEDAL ETERNITY, which blows my mind!
Greg V at Bogner says the Metro is the red-haired stepchild of the line-up. Most Bogner players want a hot-rod Marshall tone, like the XTC, Shiva, and Uberschall. But, to me, the tones of the Metro are to die for. The amp has a very rapid response, and cuts through the mix like you wouldn't believe.
You can hear the Metro on the Bogner website. I did 2 MP3's for the Metro (numbers 19 and 20). You can also check out my website, where I used it for a session up in Nashville. BTW, Telecasters sound awesome with the Metro... just unreal!

There's a Bogner users group on Yahoo where you can read what some others are saying about the various models. The Shiva is a great amp. The el34 version does a great compressed Marshall tone, and has a boost for leads that works well. The 6l6 version is probably better on the clean channel however. The XTC is a virtual "history of Marshall tones" in one amp, and is very versatile. Bogner makes great stuff. Talk with Greg V at Bogner any time. He's a friend of mine, and is very willing to answer questions and the like.

I think that Randy did a perfect job of describing the Metro and the Shiva, As I own both of them as well. I have never had the pleasure of playing thru an ETC.though. I own and play other amps but those two bogs get used quite a bit. I use the Metro the most out of the two. It has the best clean sound for the voxy jangle out of all my amps. Cheers, Jim.

Well, I've had an XTC for a little over a year now and in short it never gets old. It is a 3 channel amp:
1(white)-clean to mild class-A type distortion. Not the best clean but is still good. Think, Tomlin's Holy is the Lord type overdrive sound.
2(blue)-blues, rock type distortion. THE BEST sound I have ever heard on an amp! This is why I bought the amp.
3(red)- high gain distortion. Very very good high gain sounds. Very clear and articulate. I've heard a lot of guys getting their high gain sounds with pedals and the like and it always sounds very muddy and mushy compared with this channel. In one word..POWER!
This thing also has a bunch of other tone controls for each channel as well.
I primarily play P&W and this thing has done everything I have needed it to do with excelence. Its really nice to have the different channels too so I can go from driving distortion to a nice clean sound instantly. I have a vox ac-30 that I keep at church, and its really nice to have...but it just doesn't compare to the XTC. If I had the money..I'd buy another.
Also, this amp is VERY sensitive to the type of guitar and speaker cab you are using. When I first got it all I had was an old 2x10 open back cab and epiphone les paul. My first impressions were good, but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Since then I got a bogner 1x12 cube and a PRS custom 22 and it is a whole other amp! Each addition was a 100% improvement in and of itself. Strats and tele's sound fantastic as well..but it is a very different sound. What comes out is only as good as what goes in and what type of cab it is comming out of.

My buddy has the Uberschall -
The word I'd use to describe this amp is "W-O-W"!!! Without question, the Uberschall isn't a "now go out in the yard and play nice with the other kids..." amp. This thing is a 120 watt HAMMER. The 4x12 Uberschall cab is a tremendous cab in it's own right. I think that has something to do with it. However, what the Uber does, it does REALLY well. It's a hard driving amp and on that front it consistenly delivers. It's not a Fender Twin so don't expect that type of clean from it. As long as your clean needs are limited this amp will make you smile wide! If you play hard stuff, the Uber is a tremendous piece of equipment. In a band, even with a second guitar, and at heavy gain, it cuts through the mix. Add a boost for leads and it's over the top and in charge.
I don't own it and have only had direct contact messing with it a couple times, and only saw my friend's band a couple times (before they broke up) - but I'm very impressed with the Uber - but at $3,500 I BETTER BE!!!

I have two original 100B Bogner Ecstacy 100 watt heads and a new Bogner Xtcy Classic.
I use the Classic in our church every Sunday with two Straight Bogner 4x12's one with 4 greenbacks from '69 and the other with G12H's.
GREAT amplifiers!!
Love 'em!!
