I don't really use CDs anymore, per se. Since I'm almost always near a computer, and we have several in our home, we find it much easier to use Rhapsody.
You can get to it here:
Real > Rhapsody (http://www.real.com/)
The fee is $10/month for unlimited CD-Quality streaming music that you can select. They have pretty much everything you can shake a stick at in most genres (specifically Christian related). It's very impressive. Plus, they have a 14-day free trial (highly recommended).
Example of how I use it: At work - pick 4 or 5 (or more) Christian artists/bands - add their entire collection of releases to a big playlist. Set it on shuffle and I have all kinds of great music for programming all day long. I save the good playlists and then can log in at home and pull up the playlist and we can listen to it while we do whatever.
If you want to actually burn a song to CD, I think it's 99¢/song. But honestly, if I like a CD, I'll buy the real thing (that's just me).
Anyway - my CD players are empty nowdays. I just don't need them lately.
To stay in topic, Casting Crowns, Chris Rice, Stacy Orrico, Rachel Lampa, Kutless, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and occassionally SRV are very popular selections for me. With secular music, I try to stay away from songs with lyrics (usually ungodly as can be - yuck).
Enjoy!
