Hey Guys

I'm going to be in the LA area next weekend (1/12-14) for a family wedding. Friday night and Saturday will be filled, I'm sure, with fun-filled wedding activities, but the missus and myself plan to be in church on Sunday. The question is, where?

So, if any of you worship with a good congregation anywhere near Gardena (which I think is 15 minutes south of the airport?) let me hear about it! I'd love to hear you play (if you're on the team) or just have some good teaching and fellowship.

Thanks - see you Sunday - be blessed!

Any takers? Any takers at all?

OK, how about folks in the general LA area, not necessarily right around Gardena? I understand there are "freeways", as you call them, which assist people to get from point to point.......

Bro!

Our Church is in Whittier, which is not too far from Gardena.

I should be playing both services Sunday, and I would love it if you could come!

Email me!

I'm nowhere close at all...but your post did give me an idea.
It might be nice to have a thread listing the churchs that
GPWFer's belong to, so that travelers can stop in and visit
those services when in the area.
Would that be a useful to anybody?
Any other ideas?

Cool idea Diana!

I think you need to start that thread! Maybe call it the "GPAWF House's of Praise", right here in in the 'Praise and Worship' forum.

Well its a couple of days late in posting, but David and his lovely wife Collette (sp?) came to our second service this past Sunday, and we got a chance to briefly meet (I had practice for our upcoming live P&W recording session), and to pray together too.

It was a great blessing to me to meet him face to face. I even got this self affirmed Tele addict to throw my Les Paul over his shoulder (the boys got some chops, I tell you what!).

It was great to see you bro, and wonderful to meet your wife too! Next time if your down here again, give me a couple weeks notice, and I'll try to plan some time together, ok?

Kind words, bro, kind words.

Colette and I really enjoyed meeting you and the FLCC gang Sunday. It was a little drive, but there was friendly fellowship, good teaching, and niiiiice music. Stephen, you really had some sweet crunch going under Chris' nice clean acoustic tone! And Bobby's bass had that good fat sound we all love (where IS Bobby? I'd really like to hear more about that rig - ampeg ___ into what cab?)

I'm sorry we weren't able to get more fellowship time in, but that's the breaks. Hearing you play, and getting prayed for, were real blessings. And next time we're in town we'll be there again - with more warning.

If any other GPAWers have the chance to go to church in LA, I recommend you hook up with Stephen. Get there early, though; we took too long at breakfast and missed most of the music time. And I do mean missed
