Thanks guys. I initially just upholstered the metal grill, but when I cranked the amp, the metal grill would vibrate so badly that it actually buzzed against the snakeskin fabric. :shock:

So last night I decided to rebuild the frame from wood; upholster that with the fabric; and velcro'd it in snugly. Works like a charm.

I have cats too - but they don't own front claws anymore. :wink:

It cut down on the vibrations bigtime (duh, the grill is GONE). It was so late I couldn't crank it up and see if anything important changed very much. Probably not.

Anyway - fun fun.
