Where’s Waldo?

Hi!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I want to let you know I didn't fall off the planet or anything. So, I want to share what The Lord has done. I’ve adopted twenty-five children... sort of. My home church has opened up a new children’s center and I took on the task of putting together contemporary youth worship teams.

I have really been busy night and day heading up the children’s worship for the J Zone. (That stands for the Jesus Zone.) That means that I train and lead singers, musicians and technical support youth, aged ten to seventeen, working in the capacity of a worship pastor/leader. These are my “adopted kidsâ€Â. Do you know how busy a pastor is? Now imagine a full time pastor, with a full time job, a family and you can begin to understand where all my time has been spent these past weeks! It paid off this weekend with a grand opening ceremony and picnic. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/pearlygator/J%20Zone/JZone035.jpg
But the real blessing was the worship led by “my kids†during three services for young children aged three to twelve.

Number four son filled in on drums with the Blue team….

But he is really the lead guitarist on the Yellow team…

Number five son is on the tech crew and likes to test the equipment to ensure it works…

In a few short years, these young people will be leading worship in other ministries using the skills they are developing today. Each generation of believers must pass it on to the next and that is what I have been doing…

After worship, volunteers get a break in their favorite room. I’d invite you in but it’s exclusive. J/K! but we love it!

These are Christian kids from different backgrounds but with a common joy and purpose – praising, proclaiming and ministering Christ in song. It is an honor to be their mentor.
