WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe this project will dampen all that bragging that you do about the Squire  .
That is awesome dude. That must have been a very special moment for you this Christmas.
Can't wait to watch your project progress.

This has made me re-assess my projects:
At first, I was going to get a neck (U-shaped), and bolt it onto old number 1. Now, I'm gonna get that U-shape neck, put it onto my new slab of wood, plus the vintage compensated 3 saddle bridge, and all the pups, and guts from number 1 installed onto it, with my zebra wood pickgaurd. This will end up becoming my new Number 1, and I have the artwork for a headstock logo that say's "PraiseCaster .....a Squier by Elisha Martin"
Then the remains of my Squier, will become the basis for my LP/Tele: Routed to accept two humbuckers (a 59paf in the bridge, and a jazz in the neck), one LP volume pot, and one LP tone pot. That one will be called PraiseCasterII. Oh yeah, I wanna put an acoustic bridge on it, so I can get some reasonable acoustic tones out of it too.

Well, this isn't exactly tone-related, but as a personal gift, my wife and kids got me the new Braun 8595 Activator Shaving system- replacing my tired old 8-yr old Norelco.
This razor is not only a work of art- the darn thing actually shaves fantastic. I've had both Remington and Norelco electric razors in the past, and neither would shave close like a blade, not even new-out-of-the-box. Not even close. Both left mucho stubble and missed hairs. (ARRGH!)
The Braun left me face and neck so smooth I went around the house rubbing my face for 20 minutes after the shave...in total disbelief. Mrs Crunchy LOVES the shave, too. She was quite shocked: "I never felt your face without stubble". (ROFL!!)
Men, there's a new shaver on the block, and it actually WORKS.
I am a happy man.

OK, I have firmly decided what its gonna be:
My son and I, are going to finish it in a dark honey-burst. Gotta show that grain off!
It might take a couple of weeks, but when its done, its gonna be sweet. Honey-burst sweet!
Will be done

Yeah!! I love honey burst guitars. That is without a doubt the best choice IMHO. Here's hoping (and praying) it turns out to be a work of art. :D

No matter how it turns out, it will be the best guitar I have ever owned in my life!
