He found me over at the Sunday Morning Superstars Forum at the telecaster Discussion Page. So here I am! I'm just going to copy and paste what I posted at the SMS Forum, since I'm brand new there as well. Forgive me for being lazy in that respect. :D
Name's Paul Clayon, call me "Paulo" if you'd be so kind, and I'm a 24-year-old worship leader for the 11am contemporary service at First Baptist Church of Tallahassee (http://www.fbctlh.org) in the panhandle of Florida. I'm originally from New Jersey, but God saw fit to get me down here for whatever reason, and I haven't yet regretted it (except that I'm getting tired of not having real seasons). I've been involved at FBC since 1998, playing with the college ministry and eventually started my tenure leading college worship in 2000. Our pastor decided that the whole church needed a change, so we embarked on starting an all-church contemporary service and I was brought into that team to lead worship and assist the music department. I work with awesome people in our music department and we've got amazingly talented and God-seeking volunteers in our praise band and praise team. We have truly been blessed by God to do some incredible things at our church.
Apart from church, I play with my friend Jonny Diaz (http://www.jonnydiaz.com), a Christian singer/songwriter from Lakeland, FL, who came to Tallahassee for college and joined forces with our college praise band. We've recorded one album already out in Dallas, TX, with producer Joel Cameron (Shane & Shane, Nicole Nordeman, Mercy Me) and have a second album in the works. We have played in various places around the US and are planning a two-month tour this summer. I also have my own Christian indie-rock band called O Theos Divine (http://www.otheosdivine.com), comprised of guys from all over the panhandle who have made their way to Tallahassee. We'll be starting our own recording come January. I have also done some other recordings myself in my bedroom studio, a couple originals and a cover of Matt Redman's "Blessed Be Your Name" which I'll be posting shortly, I need to upload it to my server.
Above all I love the Lord, I love making music for Him, and I love fellowshipping with other Christians and Christian musicians. I look forward to getting to know you all! :D
