The ACLU is using a little known 1976 law called the Civil Rights Attorney Fees Awards Act to demand reimbursement for suing to remove crosses, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Ten Commandments .This is why ,even though Justice Roy Moore raised money to pay for his defense, the state of Alabama had to pay the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center over half a million dollars of our tax money. The law was designed to help plaintffs in civil rights cases find justice but the ACLU is using it for First Amendment cases ,asserting it is a civil right NOT to see a cross or the Ten Commandments .Rep.John Hostetter (R-IN) introduced a bill to end this racket. It will need to be reintroduced next year.Call you Congressman and ask him to sign on to this bill and work for its passage lets STOP the ACLU from attacking us with our own money!! This came from some of my political contacts and is FOR REAL !! Roy Moore and I cross paths from time to time and run in some of the same political circles here in Alabama and to have my tax dollars used in this way is an OUTRAGE!! I will try and get the bill # if I can thanks Richard Rutledge.

How The ACLU Attacks Us With Our Own Tax Money is the title and it was in the Nov-Dec newsletter of the Alabama Eagle Forum newsletter.

The Nov-Dec newsletter is not downloadable. The others are. =(

Since the site uses frames, you can right click on the links and choose "open in new window/tab" If you do that, you could post the link here.
