EMMA electronics is a small company based out of Denmark. They make good quality pedals for guitars. What I look for in a compressor is mainly two things. I want a versatile compressor and a compressor that does the job without everything sounding too “compressed”. The Transmorgrifier is a very stabile and robust construction. You have 4 controls on it and an on/ off switch. You can run it on battery or with an optional adapter. The controls are turn knobs and control the Level, Release, Attack and Ratio. Spending some time with it, getting to know how the controls affect your sound is a great experience. I have obtained anything from a compressor suitable for fat blues leads to finger picking rhythm work. The pedals noise level is extremely low. The only bad thing about it so far is that once u tried it, you wanna buy more of them to use with different settings. I would strongly recommend them. If you have a chance, run out and try it. There are several dealers in the US who has them.
