I just recently stumbled upon your site, and really enjoy the discussions. Hopefully I can contribute in the future. A little background...

40 something
Married w/ 2 chillun's
Tinkering with the bass since high school(late 70's)

Started with a Mateo bass...similar to a Fender bronco
Upgraded to a Cort Action bass (P/J config) about 5 years ago
re-upgraded last year to a Steinberger Spirit with the drop E tuner

Started with a Peavey TNT 100
upgraded last year to a Behringer BX4500/ Avatar 2x10 Combo

I play weekly in our sunday service and am starting to play with some friends(trying to get a P&W band togather)

Welcome, JB! It's good to have you!

Hey! I'd like to hear a review of that Behringer BX4500 after you settle in.

God bless you and your family,

Pearly Gator

Welcome to the forum, Rentasquid! :-)

We've got a great Christ-centered group of guys and gals here, as I'm sure you can tell.

Will be looking forward to your contributions! (One thing we'll be wondering is how you got that logon name. :-s )

God Bless!

Barry

Thanks for the welcome.

I used to make up fake companies for our answering machine. The one that I liked the best, and that stuck around for the last 10 years was Rentasquid. Rentasquid was to be a company that did just that...Rented squids. Why would someone want to rent a squid? I dont know, but that is kind of the point!

BTW, my first name is J. it is pronounced Jay, but spelled plain old J.

And, I lived in the St. Louis area myself for 10 years. Go Cards!

J.
