A few weeks ago the bass player at Cathedrial asked if I would be interested in a 7 string . I asked what it was and he said an Ibanez =P~ How much was the next question and he said how about $70  !! Well I figured for only $70 it must be beat so I told him to bring it to Church and I would take a look and probably take it so---. Tonight I get to Church and on my stand sits a NICE Black Ibanez RG 7 hardtail so I ask $70 for that you shure man ?? He says yep and points to the Hardshell case and says that too \:D/ !! WO-HOO the Church gave me a Christmas love offering Sunday that more than covered the guitar so PTL it`s a FREEBE  [-o< !! No cowbelling from me [-X here is a pic of er

Well praise God!

Hardtail! Sweet! I have often thought about 7 strings, but they always have whammy whacks on em! Now I know they come with hard tails as well!

This is my second round with seven strings . I had a Carvin DC747 for several years that I sold due to a lack of use . At that time I was doing a bunch of worship stuff where we never practiced I just got a chord chart and a run through just before service . Now I am working with a Church where I can work out my parts for it I will use the 7 this time . This Ibanez actually sounds better than the $1100 Carvin I had and plays as well as the Carvin . The Carvin was a mahogany neck and body guitar and was a KILLER jazz guitar and sounded like a big archtop Gibson clean . This one has more snap and is a metal MONSTER !! I have a new Dimarzio Evolution 7 I had for a while in the Carvin that may find a new home in this one tomorrow . It`s going to be fun playing a 7 again !!!

I've never played a 7...but I know a few songs we do at church where the low B would be really handy...and nice and LOW...lol

God always bless's those who are faithful

Richard - that is AWESOME! And the price is right!!!

Enjoy the 7 string. I've never had one or even played one, but I can think of a few songs we do at church where the low B would be sweet to have.

Merry Christmas!!!

didn't you sell your last one due to some hand problems you were having? you got a great deal on that one though, i can see why you didn't want to pass it up.

I have an Ibanez 7 string with the low pro Floyd setup and I really like it for gettin down low. You are correct you stole that thing. I think I paid $500 for mine with out a case. But mine is one of the high end RG's (the model below the JEM.

Good question Mattd and yes I have had a lot of problems with my left hand . I am now on an excersize program that has helped a lot with the problem . This time if it flares back up I have a relatively inexpensive guitar in the case untill it heals and not a $1100 Carvin . Micter this one is the RG 7321 and is not the real cheapo 7 . It plays every bit as well and sounds even better that the Carvin did ;) !!

I'll give you 75 for it!!

She's nice though.

You'll have to keep us filled with how you manage to use it in church.

I used my DC747 a good bit mostly for melodic stuff . I LOVE having the low B for doing smooth swells with a little delay . The fat sweet tones sort of sound like a horn of some type . It`s kinda  baffeling the other guitarist :nevem: :-k :dunno in the crowd doing that stuff :innocent ;) .
